About
Hi!
I’m a software engineer leader. I am currently the CEO of Chimeras, a Video AI and analytics company that provides easy, privacy-focused, real-time inference to customer video feeds. Previously I was the CTO of Sleepme Inc working to change how the world sleeps by building state-of-the-art sleep tracking and thermoregulating products. Prior to that, I was the Director of Parking at Passport where we modernized Passport's apps and platforms to serve millions of customers. Before that, I spent years consulting and working on mobile apps and IoT projects.
I started this blog to help me further refine my thoughts and share them with engineering leaders. I’ve found that leading engineering teams can be a lonely place. The feedback loops get longer and you may find yourself, as I did, searching for contemporary role models to give you the confidence you are making the right decisions. I hope my writing can help you on your journey.
I currently reside in Charlotte, NC with my wife and two kids.
Before starting a career in software development I studied Computer Science at Clemson University. I spent my early years in the tiny town of Ninety Six, South Carolina.
